My little shadow my little shadow my little shadow and me
Always was a step behind me you see
Looking around to see her long flowing blonde hair
No matter how many times I looked my little shadow was there

My little shadow it seemes was always getting under my feet
My little shadow's smiling face so sweet
Outside she roamed to play but not for long
Little shadow's Mom's quite time was gone

My little shadow would creep into my bedroom each night
My little shadow would kiss and hold me so tight
I turned around one day my little shadow was gone
I still have my little shadow's memories to hold on

Mom's enjoy your little shadows before they are gone
For it is truely sad when theres no more little shadow to tag along
My little shadow in life I have watched you grow
My precious little shadow where did you go
My little shadow you are now grown
My dear little shadow now has two little shadows of her own
