| Such a strange beast you are.
Your falsified desires do so fascinate me.
I pray that I can keep you out,
but again you will return.
I'll deflate myself just enough to fit inside what suits you.
Oh, I've let myself shine through,
just enough for you to shun me.
Damn this dance we have,
I just can't part with you.
I'll allow you to draw me in once again,
So you can wound me the moment I let my guard down.
I dream of the day I leave you behind
as my breath grows hot against my own flesh;
I'm ready to shed this mask.
You'll never adore me although you swear you do.
I will remain in your presence,
I must enjoy your grasp. |

 | I once looked long and hard into a mirror in an effort to see if my true nature existed within it,or even if I would recognize which was me after all. Your poetry here makes me want to reach out to another nature inherent in me, one that I have restrained for a very long time. You must also sense this "other" nature in yourself, good or bad, whose "grasp" cannot be denied.

I very much enjoyed this Miss N.
