The land beyond

The rolling blue of white and green,
The land so far it can't be seen,
The dolphins cloaked in pilgrim's grey,
The silver fish, their darting prey.

My heart lives beside the shore,
On the entrance, the ocean's door,
My life's breath I give to the waves,
My soul and heart the ocean’s slaves.

May the sea king watch me go,
Away to lands bathed in god's glow,
Where sun shines through day and night,
Where the darkness turns to light.

And here upon this foreign shore,
My heart can rest and pump no more,
My eyes are dark and so I fade,
In this land where dreams are made.
