Valentines Over Palestine

I gave my life for this;
A box of Chocolate's and a kiss sealed note.
A sultry shade of lipstick
Still bleeds from the envelope.
I kissed your hand and brushed your cheek
And you spat back in my face.
Now the Chrysanthemums are crying
To go back to their rightful place.

"Let's put a bag over her face
And suffocate the precious Rose bud."
This isn't right...where are these beams
Of light and grandeur coming from?
I looked into the mirror
And discovered where the devil lies.
She's in my eyes
And she refuses to die.

"To the funeral pits with thee
Along with the Carnation car bombs!
I'm doing swell, I'm doing fine.
I Hardly noticed it was Valentine's Day."
But I saw her crying in the backroom,
The Mascara running all over
My Bitter Sweetheart...
"Til' death do us part."

I thought that was fantastic!! It's very hard to write lyrical poetry and not force it. But yours flowed freely and caught my eye from the first few lines. Marvelous! Keep up the great work
