Velcro Shoes

In 1984 I began wearing velcro shoes.
It was a very smart thing to do.
My shoes would always come untied and I'd trip on the lace.
I darn nearly fell flat on my face.
Falling down doesn't make a guy feel very macho.
I saved my dignity with shoes with velcro.
Velcro fixed this problem of mine.
For twenty-one years everything has been fine.
