I Lay Me Down To Sleep

I saw the light being ripped from your
unseen wings.
Did you no longer love me?
Without you,
I feel that I have no chance reaching
Heaven or Hell.

The mountains look inviting tonight
at sunset,
and I desire to climb to you.
The child inside hides and
I stand tall
in this valley of dandelions,
beautiful like in a
dream.

The light begins to pour from your wings.
It consumes me entirely.
Your whisper slowly enters my soul and
I can really feel you again.

The sea of the real is below this valley
where we stand.
The stars above shine like in all
classic fantasies that predict more will
become of the night.
The beauty that radiates from you is
stronger than spoken
words.

The song of our youth begins to
rewind as day comes,
and I feel like things had never
changed.

The sea of the real dies in its
own depths below
us.
