Lately I've been going back and checking up on old things, and found to my surprise that PoetsQuill is back up! Well, of course I joined up :)

Anyways, does anybody know where Paolo is? He's the guy that used to run this site I guess about two or three years ago.

Hi and welcome!

I have no idea what Paolo is up to these days. I spoke with him briefly over AIM the other day, but he tends to emerge and then vanish again. Next time I run across him, I'll try and find out what's up.

Hi Nate, were you a member of old PQ what name did you write under. Those were certainly fabulous days, and what a lovely crew we were weren't we?
I miss the Sarah Birds and Cyncity and the constant back chat, none of it vicious, just fun and games.

the Sarah Birds? No bashing intended but I honestly cannot say that I miss them/her(?). I am a veteran PQ user formerly known as "aquamarineangel" (such a sad name lol). I seem to remember the Sarah Birds always degrading other's work and stirring up lots of trouble on the message boards. But I suppose in the end, the pages and pages of discussion on the message board helped keep it interesting; however, I still don't agree with how nastily the Sarah Birds commented on the poetry of other. Anyhoo... As I'm sure we have all matured, we can put the old PQ behind us and make new memories with the new PQ!

Yeah, I have the uncanny ability of making a 10 minute comeback and then dissapearing for another 10 months - my apologies for that.

Life's been crazy lately, but I'm kind of getting some more online time in. I should be around some more.

Sadly, Lord Pineapple and the Sarah Birds won't be returning.

http://www.xanga.com/More_Than_Just_Crabs/

I just had to check out this old site. It was a lot of fun with a lot of fun people.
Too bad it wasn't looked after very well. These simple boards were the start of the internet poetry revolution and were the reason for many to not only write, but to bravely submit it for all the world to read. I think this frolicking, floating blue orb is a better place as a result of it all.

Howdy indeed.

...
